But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fulgencio Shepherd couldn't finish the play. Vicente Beliran showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fulgencio Shepherd, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. 10 minutes into the match, CF Scalonetos's goalkeeper Vicente Beliran had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Milton Giménez. Benicio Txeru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alonzo Manny in the 13th minute of the match. In the 15th minute, Abuba Akotonon FC's Haroldo Suarez dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Benicio Txeru showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sixto Ugaitz, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sixto Ugaitz during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Sixto Ugaitz hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. CF Scalonetos's Sixto Ugaitz got his second yellow card of the match in the 35th minute. The referee ordered Sixto Ugaitz off the ground. In the 36th match minute, CF Scalonetos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sixto Ugaitz to maneuver through the defense. Vicente Beliran made an important save on a dangerous shot by Haroldo Suarez in the 41st minute. Jaime Giro hit a great ball. 65 minutes into the match, CF Scalonetos's goal looked a bit too open when Milton Giménez came free, but Vicente Beliran reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Milton Giménez in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vicente Beliran prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Vicente Beliran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Milton Giménez in the 77th minute of play. 80 minutes into the game, Abuba Akotonon FC's Haroldo Suarez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vicente Beliran made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. CF Scalonetos's Vicente Beliran played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Milton Giménez in the 83rd minute of play. The supporters of Abuba Akotonon FC booed when CF Scalonetos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alonzo Manny didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jaime Giro was shown his second yellow card after 98 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match.
