Jeremias Indartsu scored 1-0 in the 11th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fausto Benino, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Matias Txilar kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Rodrigo Chuse fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fausto Benino having to interfere. Domingos Rodriguez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arturo Pirro in the 23rd minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Rodrigo Chuse kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Fausto Benino. That made the score 2-0 in the 31 minute of play. Jeremias Indartsu who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 35thth minute tested the skills of Fausto Benino when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Pipo Gorosito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. ATLETICO MENDOZA were furious when Angelino Ado was red carded, 43 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After a rather tough play, ATLETICO MENDOZA's Angelino Ado got a free kick in the 44th minute. 45 minutes into the match, MILAN COLOMBIANO's Pipo Gorosito sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fausto Benino narrowly saved just below the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jeremias Indartsu made a kick off. ATLETICO MENDOZA's Fausto Benino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcelo Lesardo in the 52nd minute of play. Hipolito Chuan's late challenge caught a ATLETICO MENDOZA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hipolito Chuan helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to MILAN COLOMBIANO getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Hipolito Chuan hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Anastasio Bittor managed to get in a good position for a shot. ATLETICO MENDOZA's supporters rose to their feet, but Anastasio Bittor was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Domingos Rodriguez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodrigo Chuse in the 63rd minute of play forced ATLETICO MENDOZA's goalkeeper Fausto Benino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
