After 30 minutes of play, El retorno del Pincha's Erasmo Gabino made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Candido Millan was left in no man's land by his defense there! Palermo's Candido Millan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Saturnino Michael in the 33rd minute of play. Donato Kelemen kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, El retorno del Pincha's Uriel Teyo got a free kick in the 40th minute. After some careless play in the Palermo defense, Marco Pudes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Candido Millan. The Palermo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Candido Millan should have stopped the shot. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.
