Benicio Txeru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marco Pudes in the 8th minute of the match. Serafin Castulo hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. El retorno del Pincha's Serafin Castulo suffered a sore thigh after 12 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 12 minutes, Haroldo Suarez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Abuba Akotonon FC and the El retorno del Pincha players grew even worse after the yellow card. Milton Giménez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Feliberto Jerardo made a huge save. Milton Giménez scored 2-1 in the 44th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Feliberto Jerardo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fulgencio Shepherd to make the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Abuba Akotonon FC had won after a very even match.
