Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's Ralph Roeles proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 2nd minute of the match, managed to save Julias Rascals Apeldoorn from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Konstantinos Kroustallis in the 5th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ralph Roeles saved Julias Rascals Apeldoorn from getting behind. Zebastian Bergfeldt scored 0-1 in the 7th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Horaţiu Petran, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Zebastian Bergfeldt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Walmir Breckenfeld got free with Ralph Roeles in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 13th minute Walmir Breckenfeld shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ralph Roeles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's Ralph Roeles got control of the ball when Walmir Breckenfeld tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 21st minute Zebastian Bergfeldt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Horaţiu Petran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Horaţiu Petran showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zebastian Bergfeldt, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. 39 minutes into the game, Deivid Trigo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gyál United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Julias Rascals Apeldoorn the free kick. After a rather tough play, Gyál United's Deivid Trigo got a free kick in the 39th minute. In the 40th minute of the match Zebastian Bergfeldt sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Horaţiu Petran skillfully saved the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zoltán Varga in the 42nd minute of play forced Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's goalkeeper Ralph Roeles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bengt Petersson took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Horaţiu Petran. Horaţiu Petran dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Zoltán Varga to strike the kick off in the second half. Jan de Vlieger received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Horaţiu Petran came out and tried to block the shot, but Jan de Vlieger slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 50th minute. Ralph Roeles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erwin Bienvenu in the 53rd minute of play. In the 54th minute Zebastian Bergfeldt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Horaţiu Petran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 57th minute, Zoltán Varga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Horaţiu Petran made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Jan de Vlieger sent off a good shot on target. Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Zebastian Bergfeldt in the 59th minute. The corner led Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's Jan de Vlieger to fire away a dangerous shot which Horaţiu Petran despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Konstantinos Kroustallis struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Ralph Roeles didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gyál United. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zoltán Varga in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ralph Roeles prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The corner led Gyál United's Zoltán Varga to fire away a dangerous shot which Ralph Roeles despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Zebastian Bergfeldt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Horaţiu Petran tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Gyál United's Horaţiu Petran got control of the ball when Zebastian Bergfeldt tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Gyál United booed when Julias Rascals Apeldoorn was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bengt Petersson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 94th minute, Deivid Trigo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Gyál United manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Julias Rascals Apeldoorn to win.
