Real Club Celta de Vigo's Pepe Toxeiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cezary Palzewicz in the 5th minute of play. Renato Tapia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cyprian Lewicki read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. Renato Tapia struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Cyprian Lewicki didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Real Club Celta de Vigo. When Luan Porto fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored LRPV's protests and gave Luan Porto a yellow card for diving instead. In the 12th match minute, LRPV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luan Porto to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of LRPV booed when Real Club Celta de Vigo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Renato Tapia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Guillermo Marin came free in the 21st minute and tried to tip the ball over Cyprian Lewicki, but to the joy of LRPV's supporters the ball went over. After 22 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for LRPV! Real Club Celta de Vigo's Renato Tapia got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cyprian Lewicki made an important save on a dangerous shot by Renato Tapia in the 29th minute. Cyprian Lewicki didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Renato Tapia went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind LRPV's goalkeeper Cyprian Lewicki, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Pepe Toxeiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Perez Piciña, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Ricardo Luis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With an all-out effort, LRPV's Pepe Toxeiro threw himself towards the right post 55 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Perez Piciña, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 57th minute of the game Charis Kouropoulos made a throw-in which Luan Porto played forward. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Renato Tapia in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cyprian Lewicki prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Renato Tapia took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cyprian Lewicki. Cyprian Lewicki dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. After a defensive mix-up in LRPV's zone, Renato Tapia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cyprian Lewicki came out of the goal and Renato Tapia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 74 minutes of play, Real Club Celta de Vigo's Renato Tapia made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cyprian Lewicki was left in no man's land by his defense there! 78 minutes into the match, LRPV's goal looked a bit too open when Everardo Arias came free, but Cyprian Lewicki reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rubén Blanco charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rubén Blanco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Rubén Blanco hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Everardo Arias scored 5-0 in the 87th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cyprian Lewicki, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Everardo Arias in the 91st minute of play forced LRPV's goalkeeper Cyprian Lewicki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 93rd minute of the game. One of LRPV:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Real Club Celta de Vigo:s goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the LRPV players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Real Club Celta de Vigo.
