In the 18th minute, Pranas Užkuraitis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 20 minutes into the match, Batalhão do Peçanha's goal looked a bit too open when Cyprian Oliszewski came free, but Petr Čech reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cyprian Oliszewski in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Petr Čech saved Batalhão do Peçanha from getting behind. ORIZABA F.C.'s Oliver Kan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save ORIZABA F.C. from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Kosakowski in the 24th minute of play forced Batalhão do Peçanha's goalkeeper Petr Čech to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to ORIZABA F.C. getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Leoncio Huerta hit a great ball. In the 27th minute Cyprian Oliszewski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Petr Čech saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Epaminondas Baba got free with Oliver Kan in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With his leg Oliver Kan managed to avoid a goal in the 32ndth minute, when Batalhão do Peçanha's Vânderson Vasconcelos fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. ORIZABA F.C.'s Oliver Kan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pranas Užkuraitis in the 37th minute of play. Arnaldo Tróia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Oliver Kan made a huge save. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Epaminondas Baba made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Arnaldo Tróia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oliver Kan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Batalhão do Peçanha's Petr Čech played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cyprian Oliszewski in the 54th minute of play. Petr Čech came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by ORIZABA F.C.'s Julian Kosakowski. But to his dismay, Julian Kosakowski quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 60 minutes into the match, ORIZABA F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Epaminondas Baba came free, but Oliver Kan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 64th minute Pranas Užkuraitis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oliver Kan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Oliver Kan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Epaminondas Baba in the 66th minute of play. 67 minutes into the match, Batalhão do Peçanha's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Kosakowski came free, but Petr Čech reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 68thth minute of the game Cyprian Oliszewski who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Batalhão do Peçanha's Petr Čech was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Oliver Kan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Epaminondas Baba in the 71st minute of play. Edelmiro Ramone helped the player get up and apologised. Edelmiro Ramone kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. 95 minutes into the match, Pranas Užkuraitis notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of ORIZABA F.C.'s Oliver Kan. Oliver Kan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Batalhão do Peçanha had won after a very even match.
