In the 12th minute Sjef Fellinger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Apostol Sokolov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind Holtland FC's goalkeeper Baal Vanger, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 20 minutes Holtland FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Modestio Cañucal who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Paulo Fallabes got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Baal Vanger quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind Holtland FC's goalkeeper Baal Vanger, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 25th minute of the match Monitor Huáscar got a corner. Holtland FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Modestio Cañucal ran over to the corner to take the kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mathias Koole in the 29th minute of play forced Monitor Huáscar's goalkeeper Apostol Sokolov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Apostol Sokolov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mathias Koole in the 32nd minute of play. In the 34th minute of the match Monitor Huáscar got a corner. Holtland FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Modestio Cañucal ran over to the corner to take the kick. Claudio Quiroga in the 35thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Baal Vanger, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jose Ieltxu in the 39th minute of play forced Monitor Huáscar's goalkeeper Apostol Sokolov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 40 minutes, Claudio Quiroga took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Baal Vanger to make any attempt to save it. 43 minutes into the match, Holtland FC's goalkeeper Baal Vanger had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Claudio Quiroga. If Claudio Quiroga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a little luck, Holtland FC's Baal Vanger got control of the ball when Claudio Quiroga tried to sneak it across the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sjef Fellinger was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Holtland FC's Mathias Koole got a free kick in the 58th minute. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind Holtland FC's goalkeeper Baal Vanger, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 65 minutes into the game, Mathias Koole recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Apostol Sokolov. Mathias Koole showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-1. Monitor Huáscar's Nazario Victorica was substituted for Nazario Arechavala. 69 minutes into the match, Claudio Quiroga notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Holtland FC's Baal Vanger. Baal Vanger was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 76th minute Monitor Huáscar were awarded a corner. Modestio Cañucal went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led to Monitor Huáscar's Bernardinho Bala getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudio Quiroga in the 79th minute of play forced Holtland FC's goalkeeper Baal Vanger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee felt a red card was in order, 81 minutes into the game, when Marcelo Illanes put in a rough tackle. A collision led to Monitor Huáscar getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Marcelo Illanes hit a great ball. Apostol Sokolov didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sjef Fellinger went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-2 was the resulting score. Baal Vanger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardinho Bala in the 92nd minute of play. Monitor Huáscar were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Holtland FC for a fine match.
