Eleuterio Bela's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mateo Llorienzo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. La gloriosa Acade's Joost Kindermans played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Domingo Jago in the 93rd minute of play. In the 98th minute Domingo Jago shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joost Kindermans saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the La gloriosa Acade players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Merengue FC.
