Dælur Reykjavík's Ragnar Ráðgeirsson got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 12th minute Bernardo Crescencio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hagalín Olgeirsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bjargþór Ævarsson's late challenge caught a Cereales's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bjargþór Ævarsson helped the player get up and apologised. In the 20th match minute, Dælur Reykjavík was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bjargþór Ævarsson to maneuver through the defense. Cereales's Agustin Fernado got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gunnþór Guðlaugsson was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 23 minutes into the match. 23 minutes into the game, one of Dælur Reykjavík:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 28 minutes into the match, Dælur Reykjavík's goal looked a bit too open when Agustin Fernado came free, but Hagalín Olgeirsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Dælur Reykjavík booed when Cereales was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gonzalo George didn't get a good kick on the ball. Elínbergur Þorsteinsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Thanks to some nice moves Elínbergur Þorsteinsson could shoot a difficult shot in the 43rd minute, which Anibal Tiso however easily saved by the left post. After 44 played minutes Cereales got a freekick which was hit by Nicolas Quirce. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Agustin Fernado to make the kick off. 50 minutes into the match, Auðunn Róbertsson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Anibal Tiso. Cereales's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Auðunn Róbertsson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Anibal Tiso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elínbergur Þorsteinsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mauro Millano during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Cereales's Mauro Millano got a free kick in the 61st minute. After 62 played minutes Cereales got a freekick which was hit by Agustin Fernado. A collision led to Cereales getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Amado Galtero hit a great ball. Elínbergur Þorsteinsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Anibal Tiso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 76 played minutes Cereales got a freekick which was hit by Gonzalo George. The audience was convinced that Elínbergur Þorsteinsson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Anibal Tiso was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. Dælur Reykjavík fully deserved thier win.
