An unexpectedly hard shot by Diogo Carioca in the 12th minute of play forced Angico AD's goalkeeper Elder Camargo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Evandro Barral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Gilvan Pires tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Angico AD getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Valdemar Queiroz hit a great ball. When Jorge Ortiz was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 36 minutes had been played. A collision led to Lameirao FC getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Jorge Ortiz hit a great ball. After 38 played minutes, Angico AD's Pedro Lira shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gilvan Pires came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Angico AD reached it. Aluísio Tasso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elder Camargo having to interfere. The supporters of Angico AD booed when Lameirao FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Flávio Veloso didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half Lameirao FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Evandro Barral to strike the kick off in the second half. Fred Campidelis's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 51stth minute, Elder Camargo skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Elder Camargo made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Fred Campidelis sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Lameirao FC booed when Angico AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Washington Jacinto didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Angico AD's Elder Camargo got control of the ball when Fred Campidelis tried to sneak it across the goal line. Natã Carneiro might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gilvan Pires. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Natã Carneiro ran back to his position shaking his head. 65 minutes into the match, Lameirao FC's Diogo Carioca sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Elder Camargo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Fred Campidelis struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Elder Camargo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lameirao FC. In the 96th minute Pedro Lira suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. When Fred Campidelis fell near the penalty area in the 96th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lameirao FC's protests and gave Fred Campidelis a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Lameirao FC's Fred Campidelis got a free kick in the 98th minute. When the final whistle sounded Lameirao FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Angico AD.
