The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Lawrence Knowles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kurt Zondervan in the 3rd minute of play. 5 minutes into the match, Roseburn Rovers's goal looked a bit too open when Edgard Mülder came free, but Lawrence Knowles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lawrence Knowles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 苏亦瑜, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Damian Barna made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Felix Ring sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the Roseburn Rovers defense, Edgard Mülder kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lawrence Knowles. The Roseburn Rovers fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lawrence Knowles should have stopped the shot. Lawrence Knowles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgard Mülder in the 24th minute of the match. In the 25th minute 1. FC Schwalbe were awarded a corner. 苏亦瑜 went to the cornerflag to take it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edgard Mülder in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lawrence Knowles prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 苏亦瑜 scored 0-3 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lawrence Knowles, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 44 minutes in the game Colin Seaward did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Brendon Whittingham. Lawrence Knowles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 苏亦瑜, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. In the 47th minute, Klaus Schol ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lawrence Knowles was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when 苏亦瑜 stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Kurt Zondervan came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the 1. FC Schwalbe fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kurt Zondervan couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when 苏亦瑜 got free with Lawrence Knowles in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match had gone on for 59 minutes, Klaus Schol took a quick shot and it went in 0-5 without a chance for Lawrence Knowles to make any attempt to save it. 67 minutes into the match, 苏亦瑜 notched a goal, 0-6, to the right of Roseburn Rovers's Lawrence Knowles. Lawrence Knowles was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 1. FC Schwalbe's Arne Bouwman was substituted for 苏亦瑜. Lawrence Knowles made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Arne Bouwman sent off a good shot on target. 76 minutes into the game, 1.
