An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicanor Sendoa in the 9th minute of play forced Cemberlitas FK's goalkeeper Mustafa Hakan Taykut to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Temel Acabay fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cemberlitas FK's protests and gave Temel Acabay a yellow card for diving instead. Temel Acabay hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. 13 minutes into the match, Guardamonte's goal looked a bit too open when Temel Acabay came free, but Humberto Hanot reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 15th minute, Temel Acabay hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 16 minutes into the game, Guardamonte's Nicanor Sendoa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mustafa Hakan Taykut made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 19th minute, Eustacio Socorro made a precise shot to the right of Mustafa Hakan Taykut. Cemberlitas FK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. After 23 played minutes Cemberlitas FK got a freekick which was hit by Atahan Ekemen. Batuğ Zeynur fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Humberto Hanot having to interfere. Guardamonte's defense didn't have a chance, in the 28th minute, when Demircan Haktanır scored to the left of an out of position Humberto Hanot, making the score, 1-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Batuğ Zeynur managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cemberlitas FK's supporters rose to their feet, but Batuğ Zeynur was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Humberto Hanot breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Guardamonte's zone, Batuğ Zeynur stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Humberto Hanot came out of the goal and Batuğ Zeynur tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eustacio Socorro in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mustafa Hakan Taykut prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 45 minutes into the game, Guardamonte's Nicanor Sendoa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mustafa Hakan Taykut made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. The Cemberlitas FK players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Guardamonte were winning 1-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Batuğ Zeynur stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Nicanor Sendoas short, quick shot in the 51stth minute got Mustafa Hakan Taykut to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The supporters of Guardamonte booed when Cemberlitas FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abdulaziz Revnak didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 68 minutes, Eustacio Socorro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guardamonte's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eustacio Socorro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Demircan Haktanır received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Humberto Hanot tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eustacio Socorro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mustafa Hakan Taykut having to interfere. A collision led to Guardamonte getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Fabricio Walme hit a great ball. Humberto Hanot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Batuğ Zeynur, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Demircan Haktanır in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Humberto Hanot prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 97 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Guardamonte! The referee gave Cemberlitas FK a penalty, 98 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Şentürk Özsu, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Guardamonte's Humberto Hanot. 2-3. The Guardamonte supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Guardamonte would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
