The referee ignored Lameirao FC's protests and gave Gernando Pinho a yellow card for diving instead. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cereales's goalkeeper Anibal Tiso, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jorge Ortiz during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 19 played minutes Lameirao FC got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Ortiz. A collision led to Cereales getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Nicolas Quirce hit a great ball. Bernardo Crescencio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilvan Pires having to interfere. Lameirao FC's Diogo Carioca got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Diogo Carioca blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Anibal Tiso having to make a save. With his leg Anibal Tiso managed to avoid a goal in the 29thth minute, when Lameirao FC's Fred Campidelis fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After having played for 30 minutes, Agustin Fernado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cereales's supporters crossed their fingers, but Agustin Fernado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 33rd match minute, Cereales was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isidoro Udalaitz to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Lameirao FC's zone, Agustin Fernado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gilvan Pires came out of the goal and Agustin Fernado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Agustin Fernado's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gilvan Pires was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. Gilvan Pires showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agustin Fernado in the 46th minute of the match. If Bernardo Crescencio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Gilvan Pires showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agustin Fernado, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Diogo Carioca charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Diogo Carioca the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Bernardo Crescencio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Gilvan Pires tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lameirao FC's Gilvan Pires proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Lameirao FC from getting a goal against them. Bernardo Crescencio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gilvan Pires having to make a save. Diogo Carioca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anibal Tiso having to interfere. Gilvan Pires was a little too slow when Agustin Fernado got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 76th minute. The score was now 0-1. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Lameirao FC's goalkeeper Gilvan Pires, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Anibal Tiso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diogo Carioca in the 85th minute of the match. Agustin Fernado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bernardo Crescencio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Gilvan Pires made a huge save. After having played for 95 minutes, Diogo Carioca managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal.
