Elínbergur Þorsteinsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Abdelaziz Zemmam tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 7 minutes into the match, Frodsham United's goal looked a bit too open when Elínbergur Þorsteinsson came free, but Abdelaziz Zemmam reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Amattaken Muqaddem charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Amattaken Muqaddem the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 9th minute Elínbergur Þorsteinsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abdelaziz Zemmam saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 10 minutes into the match, Frodsham United's goal looked a bit too open when Ragnar Ráðgeirsson came free, but Abdelaziz Zemmam reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 11th minute, Auðunn Róbertsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Abdelaziz Zemmam showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ragnar Ráðgeirsson in the 16th minute of the match. Frodsham United's Abdelaziz Zemmam played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ragnar Ráðgeirsson in the 22nd minute of play. In the 23rd minute Nassim Agab shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hagalín Olgeirsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 24th match minute, Frodsham United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Faouzi Korteby to maneuver through the defense. Elínbergur Þorsteinsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abdelaziz Zemmam having to interfere. Abdelaziz Zemmam stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Elínbergur Þorsteinsson's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. When Ragnar Ráðgeirsson came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Dælur Reykjavík fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ragnar Ráðgeirsson couldn't finish the play. In the 33rd minute Elínbergur Þorsteinsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abdelaziz Zemmam saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Abdelhani Benyoucef recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ragnar Ráðgeirsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Elínbergur Þorsteinsson came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Dælur Reykjavík fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elínbergur Þorsteinsson couldn't finish the play. After 47 minutes, Bjarnfreður Benediktsson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Dælur Reykjavík and the Frodsham United players grew even worse after the yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Dælur Reykjavík fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 47th minute. Penalty! The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

If Elínbergur Þorsteinsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abdelhani Benyoucef in the 56th minute of play forced Dælur Reykjavík's goalkeeper Hagalín Olgeirsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dælur Reykjavík's Ragnar Ráðgeirsson got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Elínbergur Þorsteinsson came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Dælur Reykjavík fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elínbergur Þorsteinsson couldn't finish the play. If Ragnar Ráðgeirsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Safi Drid struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Hagalín Olgeirsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Frodsham United. Abdelaziz Zemmam made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Elínbergur Þorsteinsson sent off a good shot on target. Ragnar Ráðgeirsson struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Abdelaziz Zemmam didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dælur Reykjavík. In the 72nd minute, Gunnþór Guðlaugsson sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Frodsham United's Abdelaziz Zemmam didn't even have to move. 74 minutes into the game, Abdelhani Benyoucef cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Hagalín Olgeirsson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ragnar Ráðgeirsson in the 79th minute of play forced Frodsham United's goalkeeper Abdelaziz Zemmam to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Abdelaziz Zemmam showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ragnar Ráðgeirsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. After having played for 86 minutes, Ragnar Ráðgeirsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dælur Reykjavík's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ragnar Ráðgeirsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Elínbergur Þorsteinsson didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 2-1 via right post in the game's 89th minute. Dælur Reykjavík's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement!
