Cemberlitas FK's Mustafa Hakan Taykut played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elínbergur Þorsteinsson in the 5th minute of play. In the 5th minute, Elínbergur Þorsteinsson made a precise shot to the right of Mustafa Hakan Taykut. Cemberlitas FK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. The audience was convinced that Elínbergur Þorsteinsson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mustafa Hakan Taykut was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. Elínbergur Þorsteinsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 11th minute, Bjargþór Ævarsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cemberlitas FK's Demircan Haktanır got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Abdulaziz Revnak during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Abdulaziz Revnak kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Ragnar Ráðgeirsson took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mustafa Hakan Taykut. Mustafa Hakan Taykut dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Hagalín Olgeirsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Batuğ Zeynur in the 22nd minute of play. Cemberlitas FK's Batuğ Zeynur was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 27th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. A collision led to Dælur Reykjavík getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Líni Bragason hit a great ball. Ragnar Ráðgeirsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mustafa Hakan Taykut having to interfere. In the 35th minute, Demircan Haktanır got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 36 minutes, Hallvarður Ásþórsson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Dælur Reykjavík and the Cemberlitas FK players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Dælur Reykjavík's Hallvarður Ásþórsson got a free kick in the 36th minute. Dælur Reykjavík's Ragnar Ráðgeirsson got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 40 played minutes Cemberlitas FK got a freekick which was hit by Ömer Rıza Oran. Cemberlitas FK's Mustafa Hakan Taykut played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ragnar Ráðgeirsson in the 41st minute of play. Batuğ Zeynur fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hagalín Olgeirsson having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

50 minutes into the game, Nadir Felek was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cemberlitas FK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Dælur Reykjavík the free kick. After 50 played minutes Cemberlitas FK got a freekick which was hit by Nadir Felek. In the 53rd minute Dælur Reykjavík were awarded a corner. Gunnþór Guðlaugsson went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Dælur Reykjavík's Gunnþór Guðlaugsson to fire away a dangerous shot which Mustafa Hakan Taykut despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. When Ragnar Ráðgeirsson came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Dælur Reykjavík fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ragnar Ráðgeirsson couldn't finish the play. Hagalín Olgeirsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Demircan Haktanır, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. 59 minutes into the game, Líni Bragason was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Dælur Reykjavík's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cemberlitas FK the free kick. A collision led to Dælur Reykjavík getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Líni Bragason hit a great ball. Bjargþór Ævarsson hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. 75 minutes into the match, Cemberlitas FK's goal looked a bit too open when Ragnar Ráðgeirsson came free, but Mustafa Hakan Taykut reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mustafa Hakan Taykut made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Auðunn Róbertsson sent off a good shot on target. Demircan Haktanır took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hagalín Olgeirsson. Hagalín Olgeirsson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ragnar Ráðgeirsson in the 91st minute of play forced Cemberlitas FK's goalkeeper Mustafa Hakan Taykut to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Batuğ Zeynur had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Dælur Reykjavík had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
