Roseburn Rovers's defense didn't have a chance, in the 15th minute, when Ragnar Ráðgeirsson scored to the left of an out of position Blair Cunningham, making the score, 2-0. 18 minutes into the game, Bjargþór Ævarsson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Dælur Reykjavík's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Roseburn Rovers the free kick. The supporters of Roseburn Rovers booed when Dælur Reykjavík was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bjargþór Ævarsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Felix Ring in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hagalín Olgeirsson saved Dælur Reykjavík from getting behind. In the 25th minute Auðunn Róbertsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Blair Cunningham saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ragnar Ráðgeirsson in the 26th minute of play forced Roseburn Rovers's goalkeeper Blair Cunningham to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Roseburn Rovers's Blair Cunningham proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Roseburn Rovers from getting a goal against them. In the 42nd minute, Elínbergur Þorsteinsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 44th minute, Elínbergur Þorsteinsson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Blair Cunningham was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. In the 47th minute, Roseburn Rovers's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Ragnar Ráðgeirsson fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Felix Ring stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Elínbergur Þorsteinsson kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Ragnar Ráðgeirsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Blair Cunningham tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Blair Cunningham showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ragnar Ráðgeirsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. In the 84th minute Auðunn Róbertsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Blair Cunningham saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
