The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Șerban Damian hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Emanuel Ardeleanu's late challenge caught a MAZER SAF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Emanuel Ardeleanu helped the player get up and apologised. Emanuel Ardeleanu kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Adam Rednic to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in DINAMO's zone, Héctor Hernández stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Horea Hurmuzache came out of the goal and Héctor Hernández tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 73rd match minute, MAZER SAF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Breno Bidon to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 74 minutes, Héctor Hernández put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Horea Hurmuzache. Horea Hurmuzache took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Héctor Hernández, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of MAZER SAF booed when DINAMO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emanuel Ardeleanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 90 minutes, Doriva Carneiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MAZER SAF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Doriva Carneiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Toninho Schmidt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Remus Șerbulea in the 96th minute of the match.
