The Palmeiras fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Carlos Augusto Recife should have stopped the shot. Palmeiras's Caio Boldrini came free and shot a quick shot against goal 24 minutes in the game, fortunately Angelo Bertoni had problems saving as it came toward the left post. Caio Boldrini struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Angelo Bertoni didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Palmeiras. Amadeo Tuste recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 40 minutes into the match, ꉓꍏꋪꉣꂦꀸꋪꂦꂵꂦ's goal looked a bit too open when Caio Boldrini came free, but Angelo Bertoni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carlos Augusto Recife made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Bruno Lenzi sent off a good shot on target. Palmeiras's Carlos Augusto Recife played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santa Clausius in the 53rd minute of play. Palmeiras made a substitution. Toninho Prestes replaced Dagoberto Moura. If Amadeo Tuste had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute.
