The audience was convinced that Ataulfo Diosdado's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Uwe Ziege was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. When the match clock showed 4 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Ataulfo Diosdado sped through Rot-Weiss-Essen's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Uwe Ziege. In the 13th minute Ove Kellberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Uwe Ziege saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Simon Igelström came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Säfvahöjden fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Simon Igelström couldn't finish the play. Ataulfo Diosdado did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 3-0 to the left of a surprised Uwe Ziege 17 minutes into the match. 20 minutes in the game, Ataulfo Diosdado fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Uwe Ziege having to interfere. In the 22nd minute Björn Mokros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Szczepan Adamus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ataulfo Diosdado hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. After 30 minutes of play, Rot-Weiss-Essen's Ivo Claus made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Szczepan Adamus was left in no man's land by his defense there! Uwe Ziege made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Ataulfo Diosdado sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ataulfo Diosdado in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Uwe Ziege prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Säfvahöjden were awarded a corner in the 41th minute after Rot-Weiss-Essen's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Simon Igelström took the corner. The corner led to Säfvahöjden's Ataulfo Diosdado getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Ataulfo Diosdado's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 44thth minute, Uwe Ziege skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Säfvahöjden's Szczepan Adamus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Björn Mokros in the 46th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Säfvahöjden's Sigvard Ånger was substituted for Oskar Hääger. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivo Claus in the 54th minute of play forced Säfvahöjden's goalkeeper Szczepan Adamus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 56 minutes of play, Säfvahöjden's Ataulfo Diosdado made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Uwe Ziege was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ataulfo Diosdado scored 5-1 in the 60th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Uwe Ziege, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Szczepan Adamus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Björn Mokros in the 63rd minute of play. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rot-Weiss-Essen's goalkeeper Uwe Ziege, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 88th minute Ataulfo Diosdado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Uwe Ziege saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Säfvahöjden fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-2.
