Jan Pająk started the match with the kick off. Meng Yan Jing showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jernej Petrovič in the 2nd minute of the match. The corner led HIT Gorica's László Tar to fire away a dangerous shot which Meng Yan Jing despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 5th minute, Duško Turnšek left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The HIT Gorica fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Meng Yan Jing made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Duško Turnšek sent off a good shot on target. HIT Gorica were awarded a corner in the 9th minute after Abandon All Hope's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. László Tar took the corner. In the 11th match minute, Abandon All Hope was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fu Wei Di to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zlatko Goričan in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Meng Yan Jing prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 13th match minute, Abandon All Hope was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristo Uchiha to maneuver through the defense. Jernej Petrovič sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 23rd minute Duško Turnšek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Meng Yan Jing saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zlatko Goričan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Meng Yan Jing tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Konstantin Pančur showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jan Pająk, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. 40 minutes into the match, Abandon All Hope's goalkeeper Meng Yan Jing had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Duško Turnšek. Abandon All Hope's Meng Yan Jing proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Abandon All Hope from getting a goal against them. Konstantin Pančur showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dedê de Castro in the 46th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Duško Turnšek to strike the kick off in the second half. Meng Yan Jing took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jernej Petrovič, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. HIT Gorica's Konstantin Pančur played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emil Dunajski in the 58th minute of play. HIT Gorica's Istok Šabotić was substituted for Duško Turnšek. Meng Yan Jing took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Istok Šabotić, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 66th minute Jan Pająk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Konstantin Pančur saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 84th match minute, Abandon All Hope was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fu Wei Di to maneuver through the defense. 87 minutes into the match, Abandon All Hope's goal looked a bit too open when Jernej Petrovič came free, but Meng Yan Jing reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 88th minute Istok Šabotić shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Meng Yan Jing saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Istok Šabotić sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
