An unexpectedly hard shot by Cirilo Frisco in the 26th minute of play forced Lake Mohawk FC's goalkeeper Lucrețiu Gherase to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lucrețiu Gherase took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Damaso Guter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 30th minute of the match Dennehy got a corner. Lake Mohawk FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Justo Emenon ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Dennehy's Justo Emenon to fire away a dangerous shot which Lucrețiu Gherase despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The Lake Mohawk FC fans' excitement grew in the 34th match minute when Lake Mohawk FC's Wilson Gold looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Dan Feliciano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiburcio Txatxu having to interfere. Tiburcio Txatxu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Preston Ferreira, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Emanuel Izotz struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Lucrețiu Gherase didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dennehy. Dan Feliciano in the 44thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Tiburcio Txatxu, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Damaso Guter made a kick off. Tiburcio Txatxu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dan Feliciano, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. The referee ignored Dennehy's protests and gave Emanuel Izotz a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Dennehy's Emanuel Izotz got a free kick in the 71st minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dan Feliciano in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tiburcio Txatxu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tiburcio Txatxu came out of the goal and Wilson Gold tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 89 minutes into the game, Wendell Dickerson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lake Mohawk FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Dennehy the free kick.
