The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Veth Crystals booed when Deportivo Pomelo Nenene was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomás Idacio didn't get a good kick on the ball. The ball had pretty good speed, but Albino Maiorga firmly grabbed it by the left post. Veth Crystals's Tiburcio Jakue played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tolek Mlekodaj in the 9th minute of play. Liu Zhi Guang could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Albino Maiorga made a huge save. Albino Maiorga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gwidon Patora, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gwidon Patora in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Albino Maiorga saved Deportivo Pomelo Nenene from getting behind. Gwidon Patora fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albino Maiorga having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Samuel Gumaro during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's Samuel Gumaro got a free kick in the 20th minute. 21 minutes into the game, Ton Meulman cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Tiburcio Jakue was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some careless play in the Deportivo Pomelo Nenene defense, Gwidon Patora kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Albino Maiorga. Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
