Barcellos Mineiro FC's Patricio Ugutz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabriel Martini in the 5th minute of play. In the 5thth minute of the game Gabriel Martini who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Barcellos Mineiro FC's Patricio Ugutz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Barcellos Mineiro FC's Amílton Loyola quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Jarrod Mcmillan, made in the 10th minute of the game. Garth Brough struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Patricio Ugutz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Australian Youth Academy. Keylor Navas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dale Dolar in the 18th minute of play. Amílton Loyola hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Barcellos Mineiro FC's Patricio Ugutz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Barcellos Mineiro FC from getting a goal against them. Keylor Navas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dale Dolar in the 22nd minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Garth Brough kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Patricio Ugutz. That made the score 1-0 in the 25 minute of play. Garth Brough might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Patricio Ugutz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Garth Brough ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, Barcellos Mineiro FC's Patricio Ugutz got control of the ball when Garth Brough tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dale Dolar in the 32nd minute of play forced Australian Youth Academy's goalkeeper Keylor Navas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Australian Youth Academy's Jarrod Mcmillan managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Tião Paraíba in the 34 minute of the game. The throw-in from Jason Butterfield in the 37th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Barcellos Mineiro FC's Marcos Fantini. 39 minutes into the match, Australian Youth Academy's Garth Brough sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Patricio Ugutz narrowly saved just below the crossbar.

In the 54th minute of the game Bünyamin Başel made a throw-in which Dale Dolar played forward. Keylor Navas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dale Dolar in the 55th minute. In the 56th minute Dale Dolar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Keylor Navas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 59th minute Garth Brough shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patricio Ugutz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rufus Roach kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Wambasther Robben received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Keylor Navas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Barcellos Mineiro FC made a substitution. Jorge Carrascal replaced Dale Dolar. Garth Brough blasted a shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Patricio Ugutz having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Garth Brough in the 69th minute of play forced Barcellos Mineiro FC's goalkeeper Patricio Ugutz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcos Fantini sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Australian Youth Academy booed when Barcellos Mineiro FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Radul Kokalov didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 82 minutes of play, Barcellos Mineiro FC's Jorge Carrascal made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Keylor Navas was left in no man's land by his defense there! Australian Youth Academy's Fletcher Baba was substituted for Gabriel Martini. Keylor Navas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcos Fantini in the 86th minute of play. 87 minutes into the match, Jorge Carrascal dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Keylor Navas, 1-2. 90 minutes into the match, Australian Youth Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Marcos Fantini came free, but Keylor Navas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 94th minute Fletcher Baba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patricio Ugutz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Barcellos Mineiro FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
