In the 24th minute of the match Imperio Catatumbo de Lara got a corner. Czerwone Lwy Podjuchy's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Adrio Sobrido ran over to the corner to take the kick. Fernan Erus was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. 26 minutes into the match, Imperio Catatumbo de Lara's goal looked a bit too open when Tristan Lannister came free, but Tristan Franquis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Imperio Catatumbo de Lara defense, Tristan Lannister kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tristan Franquis. The Imperio Catatumbo de Lara fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tristan Franquis should have stopped the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tristan Lannister in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tristan Franquis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zbyszek Le Bonniec in the 39th minute of play forced Imperio Catatumbo de Lara's goalkeeper Tristan Franquis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tristan Franquis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Pedro Dracena in the 43rd minute of play. 45 minutes into the match, Imperio Catatumbo de Lara's goal looked a bit too open when Zbyszek Le Bonniec came free, but Tristan Franquis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bruno Moneda stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
