The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ilie Cazacu made in the 7th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Yetkiner Yasun. Nichlas Vesterdahl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yetkiner Yasun, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Rene Rostholm's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Irinel Soneriu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. Yetkiner Yasun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ilie Cazacu hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Emilian Brădescu charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Emilian Brădescu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Irinel Soneriu had in the 20thth minute some difficulties stopping Rodrigo Tome's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Nichlas Vesterdahl took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yetkiner Yasun, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 22nd minute Iulian Iancu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nichlas Vesterdahl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 24 played minutes Randers A.F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Radim Gola. After 25 played minutes Randers A.F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Arthur Shelby. FC Lutanu's defense didn't have a chance, in the 28th minute, when Rene Rostholm scored to the left of an out of position Irinel Soneriu, making the score, 1-0. The supporters of FC Lutanu booed when Randers A.F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rene Rostholm didn't get a good kick on the ball. 37 minutes into the match, FC Lutanu's goalkeeper Irinel Soneriu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rene Rostholm. A well-hit corner resulted in Benjamin Vollmaris heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Robert Stârcea kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Irinel Soneriu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rene Rostholm, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 47th match minute, Randers A.F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonardo Byström to maneuver through the defense. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rene Rostholm made a kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Rene Rostholm notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of FC Lutanu's Irinel Soneriu. Irinel Soneriu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 55th minute, Rene Rostholm got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. FC Lutanu's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ilie Cazacu in the 63rd minute. The corner ended in Ilie Cazacu almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Randers A.F.C.'s Nichlas Vesterdahl did a great save. After 64 minutes of play, Randers A.F.C.'s Børge Buhr made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Irinel Soneriu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Nichlas Vesterdahl took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Octav Romaşcanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Amadeo Gonsalvo got a throw-in 68 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Rene Rostholm. After a defensive mix-up in FC Lutanu's zone, Rene Rostholm stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Irinel Soneriu came out of the goal and Rene Rostholm tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 74 minutes into the match, Rene Rostholm notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of FC Lutanu's Irinel Soneriu. Irinel Soneriu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 79thth minute of the game Rene Rostholm who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Lutanu's Irinel Soneriu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Rene Rostholm came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Randers A.F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rene Rostholm couldn't finish the play. Randers A.F.C.'s Bruno Steenbeck was substituted for Rene Rostholm. Irinel Soneriu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruno Steenbeck in the 89th minute of play. If Bruno Steenbeck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruno Steenbeck in the 92nd minute of play forced FC Lutanu's goalkeeper Irinel Soneriu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

Randers A.F.C.'s fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
