Patryk Giertych made in the 65th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Bartosz Mruk immediately put the ball in play. Capibaribe Stars's Thomás Toscano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hieronim Michna in the 66th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Sousa in the 72nd minute of play forced FC POLMOTOR TCZEW's goalkeeper Piotr Michna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 73rd minute Daniel Sousa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Piotr Michna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 77th minute, Daniel Sousa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thomás Toscano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hieronim Michna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hieronim Michna in the 87th minute of play forced Capibaribe Stars's goalkeeper Thomás Toscano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Capibaribe Stars's Daniel Sousa got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The Capibaribe Stars supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Capibaribe Stars would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
