FC Ouagadougou National's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Fortunato Leciana ran over to the corner to take the kick. Real Marabino's 邱荣远 was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Rene Vereijt in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 6 minutes of play, Real Marabino's Jari 龙铮铮 made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rene Vereijt was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 10th minute, FC Ouagadougou National's William Westelinx ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Dime La Rocca. Dime La Rocca yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. In the 14th minute 魏竞博 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rene Vereijt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rene Vereijt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Babak Haaeman in the 18th minute of play. Rene Vereijt came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by Real Marabino's Lucas Sterling. But to his dismay, Lucas Sterling quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Real Marabino's goalkeeper Dime La Rocca, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as FC Ouagadougou National's William Westelinx slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dime La Rocca. That made the score 2-2 after 26 minutes of play. 31 minutes into the match, FC Ouagadougou National's William Westelinx sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dime La Rocca narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when William Westelinx got free with Dime La Rocca in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 39 minutes into the game, Hamza Yavaş cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Dime La Rocca was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. William Westelinx might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dime La Rocca. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. William Westelinx ran back to his position shaking his head. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lucas Sterling was the one to do the kick off. In the 51stth minute of the game William Westelinx who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Real Marabino's Dime La Rocca was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 58 minutes into the match, Real Marabino's goal looked a bit too open when William Westelinx came free, but Dime La Rocca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rene Vereijt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucas Sterling, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 61 minutes of play, FC Ouagadougou National's William Westelinx made it 5-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dime La Rocca was left in no man's land by his defense there! 69 minutes into the match, FC Ouagadougou National's Hamza Yavaş sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dime La Rocca narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A throw-in in the 71st minute of the game was made by Spike Broich with Luis-Carlos Gay as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. When the match had gone on for 73 minutes, William Westelinx put it in 6-2 from a short distance just to the right of Dime La Rocca. 76 minutes into the match, FC Ouagadougou National's William Westelinx sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dime La Rocca narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 80 minutes into the match, Real Marabino's goal looked a bit too open when William Westelinx came free, but Dime La Rocca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 87th match minute, FC Ouagadougou National was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sean Westelinx to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, FC Ouagadougou National's Sean Westelinx got a free kick in the 88th minute. Lucas Sterling could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Rene Vereijt made a huge save. After some careless play in the Real Marabino defense, Jedrzej Kiszkiel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dime La Rocca. The Real Marabino fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dime La Rocca should have stopped the shot.
FC Ouagadougou National's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
