Jarana FC's Evelio Milian played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juarês Donato in the 7th minute of play. In the 12th minute Robin Steckamp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evelio Milian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Robin Steckamp scored 0-1 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Evelio Milian, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Evelio Milian took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Carlos Vianna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling João Carlos Vianna in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Evelio Milian prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 25th minute Wambalamba FC were awarded a corner. Brian Finnman went to the cornerflag to take it. Brian Finnman made a great header on Wambalamba FC's corner, it was just that Jarana FC's Evelio Milian managed to reach the ball for a save. Jarana FC's Evelio Milian played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juarês Donato in the 28th minute of play. Evelio Milian stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Juarês Donato's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. 38 minutes into the match, Jarana FC's goal looked a bit too open when Juarês Donato came free, but Evelio Milian reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Helge Lindgren's late challenge caught a Jarana FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Helge Lindgren helped the player get up and apologised. Jarana FC made a substitution. Sigve Rossland replaced Honorio Hunfredo. In the 61st minute, Helge Lindgren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Helge Lindgren was shown his second yellow card after 62 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Both players had fought hard during the second half to keep the score at 1-1. The tie meant more entertainment for the crowd as the match moved into extra-time.

After the break the players went out on the field to play the first half of overtime with revived energy in their legs. Jarana FC's Wilfredo Gitano started the play with the initial kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wilfredo Gitano in the 100th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cris Courtois saved Wambalamba FC from getting behind. 101 minutes into the match, Brian Finnman had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Evelio Milian. Jarana FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Brian Finnman was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. When the final whistle sounded Wambalamba FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Jarana FC.
