Hong Qing showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Márcio Seabra, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. After having played for 20 minutes, Tuncer İlbaşı managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Canarinho Atordoado's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tuncer İlbaşı was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Canarinho Atordoado's Dé Mello played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anton Donose in the 23rd minute of play. Hong Qing made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Muchlis Salampessy in the 31st minute of play. Dé Mello showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anton Donose in the 33rd minute of the match. With a little luck, Club Atlético Lea Papá's Hong Qing got control of the ball when Luiz Leo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 39th minute, Alvar Ponce ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dé Mello was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Celso Barrientos kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Dé Mello showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Michal Jehlička, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Luiz Leo to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 50th minute, Alvar Ponce fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After a rather tough play, Club Atlético Lea Papá's Celso Barrientos got a free kick in the 52nd minute. The supporters of Canarinho Atordoado booed when Club Atlético Lea Papá was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Horacio Carbonari didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tuncer İlbaşı struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Hong Qing didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal.
