Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Romário Barbosa in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Desiderio Montel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Palestra do Interior's 韩默克 in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Village Saint Charles FRC's goalie prevented a goal. Romário Barbosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Desiderio Montel having to interfere. With a little luck, Village Saint Charles FRC's Desiderio Montel got control of the ball when Romário Barbosa tried to sneak it across the goal line. Desiderio Montel was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Romário Barbosa showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 21 minute of play. Desiderio Montel made an important save on a dangerous shot by 韩默克 in the 23rd minute. Desiderio Montel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 韩默克, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. 28 minutes into the match, Palestra do Interior's goal looked a bit too open when Michael Corleone came free, but Allan Varela reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Allan Varela was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. In the 44th match minute, Village Saint Charles FRC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernt Blomqvist to maneuver through the defense. Village Saint Charles FRC's Desiderio Montel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evripidis Picoulas in the 44th minute of play. The supporters of Palestra do Interior booed when Village Saint Charles FRC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernt Blomqvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 47 played minutes, Palestra do Interior's Evripidis Picoulas shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Desiderio Montel came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Palestra do Interior reached it. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Hector Herensuge made the kick off in the second half. Allan Varela showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gerasimos Tzanetakos in the 52nd minute of the match. Desiderio Montel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Romário Barbosa's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. When Romário Barbosa, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 54 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Desiderio Montel was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Desiderio Montel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 韩默克, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 60 minutes into the game, 韩默克 cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-1. Desiderio Montel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Palestra do Interior made a substitution. Fang Guang Bang replaced Jorginho Ferreira. Palestra do Interior made a substitution. Niclas Danielsson replaced 韩默克. Vitório Lago took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Desiderio Montel. Desiderio Montel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-1. Desiderio Montel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vitório Lago in the 72nd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vitório Lago in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Desiderio Montel saved Village Saint Charles FRC from getting behind. Palestra do Interior were awarded a corner in the 79th minute after Village Saint Charles FRC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Niclas Danielsson took the corner. Ernani Velasco hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. In the 82nd minute, Boyisana Mnisi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 85th minute Vitório Lago shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Desiderio Montel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vitório Lago took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Desiderio Montel. Desiderio Montel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-1. Desiderio Montel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vitório Lago, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Palestra do Interior fans cheered their team off the field, for while Village Saint Charles FRC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
