The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Donald Ludwigsen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to LanternGarden getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Halit Ziya Okcan hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in LanternGarden's zone, Godtfred Kellmer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kartal Benlioğlu came out of the goal and Godtfred Kellmer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kartal Benlioğlu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronni Arnov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Halit Ziya Okcan was shown his second yellow card after 11 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 12th minute, Halit Ziya Okcan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 13 minutes into the game, Yalçın Akkoç was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. LanternGarden's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ATOWN the free kick. A collision led to LanternGarden getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Yalçın Akkoç hit a great ball. Kartal Benlioğlu was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Oskar Valsgard. Ronni Arnov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Yalçın Akkoç got his second yellow card in the match during the 18th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 19 played minutes LanternGarden got a freekick which was hit by Yalçın Akkoç. 22 minutes into the match, Godtfred Kellmer notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of LanternGarden's Kartal Benlioğlu. Kartal Benlioğlu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Kartal Benlioğlu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Godtfred Kellmer went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. In the 28th match minute, ATOWN was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teddi Sobottke to maneuver through the defense. Güray Otaç recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kartal Benlioğlu was a little too slow when Godtfred Kellmer got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 37th minute. The score was now 3-0. Godtfred Kellmer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Kartal Benlioğlu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ali Vedat Veysel was the one to do the kick off. After some careless play in the LanternGarden defense, Ronni Arnov kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kartal Benlioğlu. The LanternGarden fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kartal Benlioğlu should have stopped the shot. Godtfred Kellmer scored 5-0 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kartal Benlioğlu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Ronni Arnov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ali Vedat Veysel struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. After 90 minutes, Güray Otaç mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the LanternGarden and the ATOWN players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 91st minute of the match Oskar Valsgard shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kartal Benlioğlu showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The supporters of LanternGarden booed when ATOWN was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jack Starum didn't get a good kick on the ball. LanternGarden's Kartal Benlioğlu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronni Arnov in the 96th minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the LanternGarden players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for ATOWN.
