Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Miroslav Brezník hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. After 6 played minutes, Stade Ygossais's Éluard Marcellin shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ivan Adamčík came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Stade Ygossais reached it. 14 minutes into the game, Tomáš Nickler was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AFK Petržalka's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Stade Ygossais the free kick. A collision led to AFK Petržalka getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Tomáš Nickler hit a great ball. Anthony Vaissière stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tibor Barmoš's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. Tibor Barmoš fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anthony Vaissière having to interfere. Tibor Barmoš might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Anthony Vaissière. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tibor Barmoš ran back to his position shaking his head. 26 minutes into the match, AFK Petržalka's goal looked a bit too open when Eugène Guiguet came free, but Ivan Adamčík reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Anthony Vaissière took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tibor Barmoš, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Stade Ygossais getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Éluard Marcellin hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, AFK Petržalka's Viktor Pištovič got a free kick in the 42nd minute. After 45 played minutes AFK Petržalka got a freekick which was hit by Tomáš Nickler.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Viktor Pištovič stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd match minute, AFK Petržalka was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ivan Kaľavský to maneuver through the defense. 55 minutes into the game, Viktor Pištovič cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Anthony Vaissière was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Tibor Barmoš had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tibor Barmoš sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Klement Dupal struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Anthony Vaissière didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AFK Petržalka. After a defensive mix-up in Stade Ygossais's zone, Klement Dupal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anthony Vaissière came out of the goal and Klement Dupal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Klement Dupal struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Anthony Vaissière didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AFK Petržalka. 77 minutes into the match, Klement Dupal had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Anthony Vaissière. Stade Ygossais's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Klement Dupal was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. After having played for 81 minutes, Tomáš Nickler managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AFK Petržalka's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomáš Nickler was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 83 minutes into the match, Klement Dupal notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Stade Ygossais's Anthony Vaissière. Anthony Vaissière was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Klement Dupal in the 86th minute of play forced Stade Ygossais's goalkeeper Anthony Vaissière to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to AFK Petržalka getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Viktor Pištovič hit a great ball. Stade Ygossais's Anthony Vaissière played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Klement Dupal in the 93rd minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Stade Ygossais players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for AFK Petržalka.
