An unexpectedly hard shot by Elian Benedicto in the 12th minute of play forced Rayo Bengala's goalkeeper Artur Boruc to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Antonio Canal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julen Castellano in the 15th minute of the match. Artur Boruc took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Coronel Revuelta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 22nd match minute, Rayo Bengala was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernard Rienda to maneuver through the defense. Artur Boruc made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Coronel Revuelta in the 30th minute of play. If Mino Puig had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 37th minute Coronel Revuelta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Artur Boruc saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 41st minute of the match Villawalter City got a corner. Rayo Bengala's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Sebastián Olivarez ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Sebastián Olivarez almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Rayo Bengala's Artur Boruc did a great save. The attack was good, but when Mino Puig in the 42nd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Antonio Canal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Macabeo Sampil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Rayo Bengala's goalkeeper Artur Boruc, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Villawalter City booed when Rayo Bengala was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Macabeo Sampil didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rayo Bengala made a substitution. Palacios Bobes replaced Policarpio Lama. Macabeo Sampil kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Artur Boruc made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elian Benedicto in the 91st minute of play.

The Villawalter City supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Villawalter City would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
