The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4thth minute of the game Luisinho Laguna who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Leones FC's Alfonso Villamarin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Nacho Gonzalez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teofilio Lorca in the 5th minute of the match. 8 minutes into the match, El Gallo de Moron's Luisinho Laguna sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alfonso Villamarin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 18 minutes, Teofilio Lorca managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Leones FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Teofilio Lorca was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 27 minutes into the game, El Gallo de Moron's Luisinho Laguna nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alfonso Villamarin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Teofilio Lorca's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nacho Gonzalez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. 36 minutes into the match, Leones FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luisinho Laguna came free, but Alfonso Villamarin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pepillo Servin in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nacho Gonzalez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The corner led Leones FC's Pepillo Servin to fire away a dangerous shot which Nacho Gonzalez despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 42nd minute, Vanja Džaferović hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Through an outstanding action, after 43 minutes, Nacho Gonzalez successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 46th minute Teofilo Garrote shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfonso Villamarin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Leones FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. El Gallo de Moron were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Pepillo Servin made the kick off in the second half. 58 minutes into the match, El Gallo de Moron's goal looked a bit too open when Pepillo Servin came free, but Nacho Gonzalez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teofilo Garrote in the 59th minute of play forced Leones FC's goalkeeper Alfonso Villamarin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nacho Gonzalez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teofilio Lorca in the 65th minute of play. In the 67th minute Pepillo Servin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nacho Gonzalez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luisinho Laguna got free with Alfonso Villamarin in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 75thth minute of the game Pepillo Servin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but El Gallo de Moron's Nacho Gonzalez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Nacho Gonzalez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Casado Arambula in the 84th minute of play. Teofilo Garrote hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
