Pepe Toxeiro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kauan Santos in the 14th minute. In the 18th match minute, Fala Sério FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benê Aguiar to maneuver through the defense. Fala Sério FC's Afonsinho Marques played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Renato Tapia in the 19th minute of play. Real Club Celta de Vigo's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Guillermo Marin in the 20th minute. Fala Sério FC's Afonsinho Marques played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Renato Tapia in the 24th minute of play. After taking down the ball on Real Club Celta de Vigo's corner Guillermo Marin fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Afonsinho Marques quite easily take care of the ball. Pepe Toxeiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from André Azevedo in the 28th minute of the match. Real Club Celta de Vigo were awarded a corner in the 31th minute after Fala Sério FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Guillermo Marin took the corner. Real Club Celta de Vigo's Guillermo Marin was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Afonsinho Marques in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 37 played minutes Fala Sério FC got a freekick which was hit by Kauan Santos. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Moraes in the 40th minute of play forced Real Club Celta de Vigo's goalkeeper Pepe Toxeiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 47 minutes into the match, Fala Sério FC's goal looked a bit too open when Renato Tapia came free, but Afonsinho Marques reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half Real Club Celta de Vigo were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. André Azevedo was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Fala Sério FC booed when Real Club Celta de Vigo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Unai Nuñez didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 53rd minute, Silas Valadares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Raimundo Pernambucano in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pepe Toxeiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Real Club Celta de Vigo's Pepe Toxeiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wanderson Lopez in the 85th minute of play. Pepe Toxeiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raimundo Pernambucano in the 87th minute of the match. Pepe Toxeiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wanderson Lopez, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Pepe Toxeiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raimundo Pernambucano in the 93rd minute of the match. If Everardo Arias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 95th minute Everardo Arias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Afonsinho Marques saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Fala Sério FC lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
