After having played for 18 minutes, Deilmison van Basten managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ATHLETICO PRaiano's supporters crossed their fingers, but Deilmison van Basten was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Unax Mudarra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Salamón Del Fierro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Deilmison van Basten took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Salamón Del Fierro. Salamón Del Fierro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Salamón Del Fierro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Deilmison van Basten, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. A hard shot 29 in the game by Cristóbal Lataste from a close distance when the talented Rodriguinho Sousa managed to make a qualified save. ATHLETICO PRaiano's players were relieved. In the 44th minute, Deilmison van Basten left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ATHLETICO PRaiano fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. The CDU Católica players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. ATHLETICO PRaiano were winning 1-4.

Salamón Del Fierro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ralf Albäck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, CDU Católica's Salamón Del Fierro got control of the ball when Deilmison van Basten tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Deilmison van Basten got free with Salamón Del Fierro in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 85 minutes into the match, Orlín Amuscotegui notched a goal, 3-5, to the right of ATHLETICO PRaiano's Rodriguinho Sousa. Rodriguinho Sousa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Rodriguinho Sousa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristóbal Lataste in the 90th minute of play.
