In the 39th match minute, Gala was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lv Zhen Xuan to maneuver through the defense. Leonel Mesquita who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 40thth minute tested the skills of Suryo Zaelani when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Galicia's Merih Demiral got a free kick in the 47th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In the last second Alberino Pujana throw himself and got hold of the ball when Toto Tualasamony in the 57thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. In the 59th minute Sven-Åke Granberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Suryo Zaelani saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Suryo Zaelani showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonel Mesquita in the 64th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo Galicia's zone, Toto Tualasamony stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alberino Pujana came out of the goal and Toto Tualasamony tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Deportivo Galicia made a substitution. Shi Cheng Yong replaced Sven-Åke Granberg. Duta Halim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Suryo Zaelani stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Svanbjörn von den Berg's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo Galicia's zone, Duta Halim stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alberino Pujana came out of the goal and Duta Halim tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 82nd minute, Svanbjörn von den Berg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Suryo Zaelani was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. 85 minutes into the match, Alberto Di Blasio dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Alberino Pujana, 3-1. Svanbjörn von den Berg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Suryo Zaelani read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. Suryo Zaelani showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Svanbjörn von den Berg in the 94th minute of the match.
