Borys Parzysz came out and tried to block the shot, but Özal Afşaroğlu slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 25th minute. After 30 minutes, Ksawery Oryl made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. hatay FK's Talat Akbaba tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 33 minutes into the game, Wladyslaw Golota cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Talat Akbaba was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Necip Fazıl Mengüalp got free with Borys Parzysz in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, hatay FK's Özal Afşaroğlu got a free kick in the 46th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 2-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edmund Dulemba to strike the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, MKS UNIA's goal looked a bit too open when Erberk Çubukcu came free, but Borys Parzysz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wladyslaw Golota hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. In the 56thth minute of the game Mazhar Tandoğdu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but MKS UNIA's Borys Parzysz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Borys Parzysz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Necip Fazıl Mengüalp, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Wladyslaw Golota received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Talat Akbaba tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in hatay FK's zone, Edmund Dulemba stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Talat Akbaba came out of the goal and Edmund Dulemba tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 72 played minutes MKS UNIA got a freekick which was hit by Stasio Kapinos. Mazhar Tandoğdu scored 3-4 in the 77th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Borys Parzysz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Edmund Dulemba succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-5 in the 80th playminute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Özal Afşaroğlu in the 83rd minute of play forced MKS UNIA's goalkeeper Borys Parzysz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edmund Dulemba might have been able to make a better finish in the 85th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Talat Akbaba. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. MKS UNIA's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
