After recieving a nice pass, hatay FK's Sait Pekol tried to score from far away in the 36th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The supporters of hatay FK booed when R.C.D Toro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manuel Pedraza didn't get a good kick on the ball. Atıf Şengil recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 43 minutes into the game, Koldo Esperta was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. R.C.D Toro's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave hatay FK the free kick. Talat Akbaba didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ronaldo Redondo went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mazhar Tandoğdu was the one to do the kick off.
