Iwan Grocholski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgard Batista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Iwan Grocholski stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ruben Casado's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. Edgard Batista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Iwan Grocholski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 24th match minute, La Academia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Francisco Alberto Zañartu to maneuver through the defense. 25 minutes into the match, La Academia's goal looked a bit too open when Ruben Casado came free, but Iwan Grocholski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ruben Casado could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Iwan Grocholski made a huge save. Colognese FC's Alfredinho Carneiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robby Woody in the 30th minute of play. La Academia were awarded a corner in the 32th minute after Colognese FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Maxín Bacarreza took the corner. After taking down the ball on La Academia's corner Robby Woody fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Alfredinho Carneiro quite easily take care of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Robby Woody in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alfredinho Carneiro saved Colognese FC from getting behind. Alfredinho Carneiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robby Woody in the 38th minute of play. Colognese FC's Alfredinho Carneiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robby Woody in the 46th minute of play. After a rather tough play, La Academia's Aaron Mazuste got a free kick in the 47th minute.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Robby Woody made a kick off. If Robby Woody had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. La Academia had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
