Acácio Reis started the match with the kick off. After some careless play in the Estação F.C defense, Valentas Bizauskas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Şaban Beykan. The Estação F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Şaban Beykan should have stopped the shot. In the 22nd minute Adomas Bacys shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Şaban Beykan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aldas Saulis was a little too slow when Acácio Reis got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 24th minute. The score was now 1-1. Aldas Saulis was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Oscar Fernandez showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-1 in the 38 minute of play. In the 44th minute Deimantas Valys shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Şaban Beykan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Deimantas Valys to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Geležinis Vilkas's goal looked a bit too open when Laerte Albuquerque came free, but Aldas Saulis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Şaban Beykan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valentas Bizauskas in the 54th minute of play. The supporters of Geležinis Vilkas booed when Estação F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elias de Queirós didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 63rd match minute, Geležinis Vilkas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Faustas Mikalauskas to maneuver through the defense. Valentas Bizauskas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Şaban Beykan made a huge save. In the 70th minute, Leonel Negri got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Geležinis Vilkas's Aldas Saulis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Acácio Reis in the 73rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adomas Bacys in the 74th minute of play forced Estação F.C's goalkeeper Şaban Beykan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Şaban Beykan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Valentas Bizauskas in the 85th minute. A collision led to Geležinis Vilkas getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Jogaila Jameikis hit a great ball.
