After taking down the ball on Chinese CJ Youth Academy's corner Roni Ronaldinho fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jospeh McNally quite easily take care of the ball. 11 minutes into the match, Chinese CJ Youth Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Dwight Schrute came free, but Frank Frankfurter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 13 minutes into the match, Chinese CJ Youth Academy's Edinson Haaland sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jospeh McNally narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jospeh McNally stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edinson Haaland's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. 15 minutes into the match, Chinese CJ Youth Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Gerardo Beard came free, but Frank Frankfurter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 23rd minute, Gerardo Beard ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Frank Frankfurter was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. With a little luck, Chinese CJ Youth Academy's Frank Frankfurter got control of the ball when Trenton Long tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 30th minute, Tytus Orling left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Chinese CJ Youth Academy fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. 35 minutes into the game, Tytus Orling cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Jospeh McNally was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Frank Frankfurter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerardo Beard in the 39th minute of play. In the 40thth minute of the game Edinson Haaland who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Brooklyn SC's Jospeh McNally was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gerardo Beard hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. If Tytus Orling had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Chinese CJ Youth Academy getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Börje Ivarsson hit a great ball. The Brooklyn SC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Chinese CJ Youth Academy were winning 1-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edinson Haaland to make the kick off. Jospeh McNally showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edinson Haaland, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute.
