An unexpectedly hard shot by Trenton Long in the 12th minute of play forced Blue Mountain State's goalkeeper Robin Sharma to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 14 minutes in the game Jonas Cole did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Greg Giraldo. In the 19th minute, Karol Panasewicz made a precise shot to the right of Jospeh McNally. Brooklyn SC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Karol Panasewicz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jospeh McNally took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karol Panasewicz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Brooklyn SC booed when Blue Mountain State was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Afşar Uçuk didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Karol Panasewicz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Through an outstanding action, after 32 minutes, Jospeh McNally successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 35thth minute of the game Karol Panasewicz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Brooklyn SC's Jospeh McNally was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Karol Panasewicz might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jospeh McNally. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Karol Panasewicz ran back to his position shaking his head. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Karol Panasewicz in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jospeh McNally saved Brooklyn SC from getting behind. Isidoro Estebe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jospeh McNally having to interfere. The supporters of Blue Mountain State booed when Brooklyn SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rickey Ewing didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Karol Panasewicz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Blue Mountain State's supporters rose to their feet, but Karol Panasewicz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jospeh McNally breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Robin Sharma showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gerardo Beard, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Gerardo Beard made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Blue Mountain State's goalkeeper Robin Sharma had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gerardo Beard. Dwight Schrute did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-1 to the left of a surprised Robin Sharma 53 minutes into the match. When Blue Mountain State's Karol Panasewicz in the 57th minute got a chance for a shot 57th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Brooklyn SC's goalie prevented a goal. If Karol Panasewicz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jospeh McNally showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Karol Panasewicz, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. 61 minutes into the match, Blue Mountain State's goalkeeper Robin Sharma had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Elliot Whitley. After 62 played minutes Brooklyn SC got a freekick which was hit by Rickey Ewing. Brooklyn SC's Jospeh McNally played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicolas De la Cruz in the 64th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Karol Panasewicz managed to get in a good position for a shot. In the 83rd minute, Lionel-Andrés Messi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Robin Sharma made an important save on a dangerous shot by Elliot Whitley in the 88th minute. In the 89th minute, Lionel-Andrés Messi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jospeh McNally was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. In the 93rd minute Dwight Schrute shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robin Sharma saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
