When Yahya Kemal As came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Fc Kangal™SİVAS 89 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Yahya Kemal As couldn't finish the play. When Asım Arif Kalhan fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fc Kangal™SİVAS 89's protests and gave Asım Arif Kalhan a yellow card for diving instead. In the 9th match minute, Fc Kangal™SİVAS 89 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Asım Arif Kalhan to maneuver through the defense. Şerafettin Alkın showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tolga Tur in the 17th minute of the match. Ertan Dadaloğlu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Şerafettin Salti in the 23rd minute. Ertan Dadaloğlu came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Samsunspor's Peyami Ak. But to his dismay, Peyami Ak quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by İzzet Titiz in the 35th minute of play forced Fc Kangal™SİVAS 89's goalkeeper Ertan Dadaloğlu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Samsunspor were awarded a corner in the 37th minute after Fc Kangal™SİVAS 89's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Edip Derman took the corner. The corner led to Samsunspor's Seyhun Toraman getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. 39 minutes into the match, Seyhun Toraman had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ertan Dadaloğlu. Fc Kangal™SİVAS 89's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Seyhun Toraman was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Peyami Ak made the kick off in the second half. After 63 played minutes Fc Kangal™SİVAS 89 got a freekick which was hit by Özgür Rami. The audience was convinced that İzzet Titiz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ertan Dadaloğlu was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. Tolga Tur fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Şerafettin Alkın having to interfere.
