Spectators: 152 (Terracing: 114, Seating: 35, VIP seats: 3) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Karl-Ove Blomkvist started the match with the kick off. 12 minutes into the game, Karl-Ove Blomkvist recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Niklas Ström. Karl-Ove Blomkvist showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. The supporters of UÅ Mästerbotten booed when IFK Göteborg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Karl-Ove Blomkvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Calle Lundqvist fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored UÅ Mästerbotten's protests and gave Calle Lundqvist a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to UÅ Mästerbotten getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Calle Lundqvist hit a great ball. In the 20th minute of the game Bianco Arcari made a throw-in which Jens-Ove Lindkvist played forward. After 25 minutes, Bianco Arcari mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the IFK Göteborg and the UÅ Mästerbotten players grew even worse after the yellow card. Calle Lundqvist was shown his second yellow card after 32 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 32nd match minute, UÅ Mästerbotten was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Calle Lundqvist to maneuver through the defense. In the 35th minute, Arne Lagerberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ingvar Hellgren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Niklas Ström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Christian Wenerdahl stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Forrest Gumpfer's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. In the 41st minute, Forrest Gumpfer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Forrest Gumpfer in the 43rd minute of play forced IFK Göteborg's goalkeeper Christian Wenerdahl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 48 minutes into the match, UÅ Mästerbotten's goalkeeper Niklas Ström had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ingvar Hellgren. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

53 minutes into the match, UÅ Mästerbotten's goal looked a bit too open when Ingvar Hellgren came free, but Niklas Ström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Niklas Ström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ove Lövkvist in the 55th minute of play. Christian Wenerdahl had great luck who in the 57thth minute grab hold of the ball when Forrest Gumpfer from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. UÅ Mästerbotten's attack was well implemented in the 57th minute, but when Forrest Gumpfer was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. UÅ Mästerbotten made a substitution. Albin Rönn replaced Sven-Åke Kihlman. Christian Wenerdahl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Forrest Gumpfer, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Karl-Ove Blomkvist might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Niklas Ström. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Karl-Ove Blomkvist ran back to his position shaking his head. After 64 played minutes UÅ Mästerbotten got a freekick which was hit by Arne Lagerberg. 67 minutes into the match, UÅ Mästerbotten's goal looked a bit too open when Ove Lövkvist came free, but Niklas Ström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Forrest Gumpfer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christian Wenerdahl having to interfere. Forrest Gumpfer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Forrest Gumpfer blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Christian Wenerdahl having to make a save. Niklas Ström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ove Lövkvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Niklas Ström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karl-Ove Blomkvist in the 96th minute of the match. There was no doubt that IFK Göteborg were the better team. IFK Göteborg's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
