The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Gafflarna IF's Henry Åhlberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edward Nyqvist in the 2nd minute of play. After 3 played minutes Gafflarna IF got a freekick which was hit by Lennart Samuelsson. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edward Nyqvist in the 4th minute of play forced Gafflarna IF's goalkeeper Henry Åhlberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kurt Arenius kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Fulham Broadway FC's Ingvar Ek got a free kick in the 13th minute. Ingvar Ek hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. 16 minutes into the match, Ludwig Johnsson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ove Stor. Fulham Broadway FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ludwig Johnsson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 23rd minute, Ludwig Johnsson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ove Stor was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Ove Stor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ludwig Johnsson in the 32nd minute of play. Ove Stor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ludwig Johnsson in the 33rd minute of the match. Kurt Arenius's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ove Stor read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. Fulham Broadway FC's Ove Stor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anders Giliusson in the 35th minute of play. Kurt Wallengren might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Henry Åhlberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kurt Wallengren ran back to his position shaking his head. Kurt Wallengren could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Henry Åhlberg made a huge save. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The wind increased when Kurt Wallengren made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Fulham Broadway FC getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Edward Nyqvist hit a great ball. When Kjell Morat fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gafflarna IF's protests and gave Kjell Morat a yellow card for diving instead. Kjell Morat kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Kurt Wallengren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henry Åhlberg having to interfere. Anders Giliusson struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Ove Stor didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gafflarna IF. Fulham Broadway FC's Edward Nyqvist managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Kjell Morat in the 64 minute of the game. Fulham Broadway FC's Kurt Wallengren got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Anders Giliusson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Ove Stor made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ludwig Johnsson in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ove Stor prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 76th minute, Kurt Wallengren got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Stig Lindell hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Anders Giliusson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Ove Stor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kurt Wallengren blasted a shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Henry Åhlberg having to make a save. Kurt Wallengren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Henry Åhlberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
