The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Onsala Ass Kickers getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Jan Björnberg hit a great ball. The supporters of Kårböle IFK booed when Onsala Ass Kickers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Johannes Stenberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 7 minutes, Kåre Bruhn managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Onsala Ass Kickers's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kåre Bruhn was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Edwin Sjöberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Edwin Sjöberg might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Johan Sandström. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edwin Sjöberg ran back to his position shaking his head. Johan Sandström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edwin Sjöberg in the 11th minute of the match. After having played for 14 minutes, Edwin Sjöberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Onsala Ass Kickers's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edwin Sjöberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Onsala Ass Kickers's Edwin Sjöberg got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 27th match minute, Onsala Ass Kickers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomas Fagerberg to maneuver through the defense. Thomas Hägglund didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Radoy Gilev went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. A collision led to Kårböle IFK getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Radoy Gilev hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Kårböle IFK's zone, Edwin Sjöberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Johan Sandström came out of the goal and Edwin Sjöberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Edwin Sjöberg struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Johan Sandström didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Onsala Ass Kickers. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kåre Bruhn stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Alexander Sandström walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Onsala Ass Kickers eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
