The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. FC Lassens's Koppány Török proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save FC Lassens from getting a goal against them. If Folke Karlstedt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 14th minute Jon Lassen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bertil Häger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 19 minutes into the game, Stig-Åke Wiman cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Bertil Häger was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 22nd minute Leo Hermansson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bertil Häger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 23 minutes into the game, FC Lassens's Jon Lassen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bertil Häger made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 28th minute Jon Lassen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bertil Häger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Åke Skark received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Bertil Häger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bertil Häger came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Lassens's Leo Hermansson. But to his dismay, Leo Hermansson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Jon Lassen managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Lassens's supporters rose to their feet, but Jon Lassen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bertil Häger breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hala Madrid Iraki FC's Bertil Häger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Uno Vallman in the 45th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jon Lassen in the 46th minute of play forced Hala Madrid Iraki FC's goalkeeper Bertil Häger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jon Lassen stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jan-Olof Vallander fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Koppány Török having to interfere. Koppány Török made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Urban Vall in the 55th minute of play. Bertil Häger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jon Lassen in the 62nd minute of play. Stig-Åke Wiman's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Bertil Häger firmly grabbed it by the left post. FC Lassens's Koppány Török played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Urban Vall in the 65th minute of play. Jon Lassen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Bertil Häger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jon Lassen got free with Bertil Häger in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Folke Karlstedt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee felt a red card was in order, 73 minutes into the game, when Tord Widberg put in a rough tackle. After 72 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for FC Lassens! Åke Skark received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Bertil Häger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 80th minute there was a penalty for FC Lassens. Leo Hermansson stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Bertil Häger. 1-5. Through an outstanding action, after 84 minutes, Bertil Häger successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Bertil Häger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Åke Skark, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. FC Lassens's Stig-Åke Wiman got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 91 minutes into the match, Hala Madrid Iraki FC's goal looked a bit too open when Åke Skark came free, but Bertil Häger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 92nd match minute, Hala Madrid Iraki FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erling Berggren to maneuver through the defense. Leo Hermansson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leo Hermansson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 98th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. FC Lassens's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
