The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Björkö BK booed when Lillbo BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Håkan Bäckman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hans Carlsson charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hans Carlsson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 8th minute of the game. One of Lillbo BK:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Björkö BK:s goal. Erland Vallin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rolf Björkdal went, in the 15th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. The audience was convinced that Jerry Hedman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Erland Vallin was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jakub Kornecki in the 20th minute of play forced Lillbo BK's goalkeeper Erland Vallin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 23 minutes into the game, Jerry Hedman cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Erland Vallin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 31 played minutes Lillbo BK got a freekick which was hit by Håkan Bäckman. After 35 minutes, Enrico Alessandro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Björkö BK and the Lillbo BK players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 35th match minute, Björkö BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enrico Alessandro to maneuver through the defense. 38 minutes into the match, Lillbo BK's goal looked a bit too open when Bengt-Åke Nordkvist came free, but Erland Vallin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 39 minutes into the match, Jakub Kornecki had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Erland Vallin. Lillbo BK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jakub Kornecki was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. After 42 minutes of play, Björkö BK's Rolf Björkdal made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Erland Vallin was left in no man's land by his defense there! Algot Nyman hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match.

Algot Nyman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roy Mårtensson having to interfere. Erland Vallin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enrico Alessandro in the 57th minute of play. Björkö BK's Roy Mårtensson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oscar Håkansson in the 59th minute of play. In the 64th match minute, Lillbo BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Algot Nyman to maneuver through the defense. In the 66th minute of the match Björkö BK got a corner. Lillbo BK's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jakub Kornecki ran over to the corner to take the kick. Lillbo BK's Erland Vallin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jakub Kornecki in the 68th minute of play. Erland Vallin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jakub Kornecki, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Rolf Björkdal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enrico Alessandro in the 84th minute of play forced Lillbo BK's goalkeeper Erland Vallin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 90th minute, Björkö BK's Bengt-Åke Nordkvist ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Erland Vallin. Erland Vallin yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-6. The supporters of Lillbo BK booed when Björkö BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enrico Alessandro didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 94th minute Oscar Håkansson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roy Mårtensson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lillbo BK's Erland Vallin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Lillbo BK from getting a goal against them. The Björkö BK supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Björkö BK would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
